Medical Assistant
Fox Valley Technical College
With this diploma, you become an essential part of the healthcare team. Your role is to take vital signs, assist the physician with examinations and minor office procedures, and administer medications. This career combines business and administrative duties with clinical laboratory functions. You ll learn the necessary office skills as well as specimen collection, basic lab tests and microscopic work. The program includes a supervised practicum experience, allowing you to apply what you ve learned in a real world environment.

A program that requires its students to demonstrate they have successfully acquired a set of skills or knowledge base prior to completing the program. Compare to a "time-based" training program that results in successful completion if the students participate in a certain number of instructional hours.

3 weeks prior to a semester beginning in either August for fall or January for spring.

FVTC Teaching & Learning Center - tutoring is available for Math, Accounting, Science, Reading and study skills, writing and study groups.
Tuition and fees are subject to change. Costs may not include all books or all materials and supplies.Some textbook costs may be included in the estimated program cost.
Refunds are processed according to the WTCS refund policy. Wisconsin Technical College 10.08, Wisconsin Administrative Code, establishes the requirements for district policies and procedures related to student fee refunds. Refunds are applicable only from the date the student officially drops the class through Enrollment Services or online.
